Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 1% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 80.6/100, a mean average of 81.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 81.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.7.

If there's one Doors compilation that surpasses all others, this is it. Along with the hits and well known songs there's also a few of the finer deeper album cuts.
Sure its a compilation but it is a brilliant one. It is the Doors record of my college experience and really...if you could only have one Doors record...this double LP would be the way to go. Well chosen selections and well sequenced. I love this record.
No, Light my fire, roadhouse blues, or, touch me, and surprise inclusions of, running blue, and, Maggie McGill, make it a slightly odd listening experience. Still, good to see two rare cuts in there, but, the end, should have been, well, the end. Good fun though.
Dang, "Roadhouse Blues" is missing from this comp! It's inclusion would've made this great collection even better.
I found this record in my garage and I have to say...The End is AMAZING versus it's digital half. This is a really good 'Best of' album, and includes two b-sides. 'Who Scared You' is one of them and one of my favorites by the Doors.
