One of the best of the year, for sure. A real hidden gem.
"Killed my daddy and took his .45" - this album is pure bliss just because of that line from the first song.
A thoroughly good album, with some strong Americana songs. It's quite forgettable though. Killed Myself When I Was Young is another good song on here.

This is really a hugely underrated and highly ignored album. The songwriting is very good, his voice is unique and surprisingly expressive and the arrangements are killer. It never feels like Bondy is trying to do too much in here. The acoustic guitar and instrumentation is really well done as well. Listen to "Vice Rag", World Without End" and the beautifully romantic dream pop of "Lovers waltz" and decide for yourself.
