Considered important for marrying African music and Western sounds: keys, guitar, bass, horns. It does so pretty well at times, particularly on "Hamady Boiro". Then there is Baaba's amazing voice. While I found his previous album Djam Leeli guilty of being shouty at times, here he doubles down and dominates these tracks despite the heavy production. It's an impressive vocal performance in any language. Some tracks go on too long for what they have to say musically.
