Solid album worth a listen; 2017’s HANG is the better Foxygen Album in my humble opinion

It's a fun listen, but there is nothing special here. It's a new spin on the Kinks and the Rolling Stones.

There's a part of me that really thinks this could be awesome and there's a part of me that says there was this band called the Velvet Underground and they sound a million times better.

This is a lot of fun to listen to. From the theatrics of of Oh No, to the freak outs on the title track, this one is a pretty interesting listen.

A simple, unpretentious album that's a pleasure to listen to. Two excellent tracks (San Francisco and No Destruction), a couple good/great songs (Blue Mountain, In the Darkness, Shuggie, Oh Yeah), and your standard filler.

Short, not revolutionary, not amazing, but it's so good that you keep coming back to it

I was in love with this album when it came out. That feeling dropped off steadily with repeated listens. It just doesn't hold up well once I realized they didn't really have anything interesting to say. Pales in comparison to other psych revivalist weirdos like Ariel Pink or Christopher Owens' output with Girls.
