Top 100 Greatest Music Albums ratings
Average Rating = (n ÷ (n + m)) × av + (m ÷ (n + m)) × AVwhere:

AV = the site mean average rating.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 86.2/100, a mean average of 86.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 86.4/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 10.0.

There is a nice variety in genres that manages to make much sense without feeling forced, even without notes. With that variety and some more obscure picks here and there, this feels like a very honest list!
That being said, I think notes would do this list wonders! While not too necessary, some international picks would be nice too. There's lots of music outside the US and UK that's great, got a few recommendations that might be up your sleeve:
Hypnotic UnderWorld by Ghost (JP)
98.12.28 Otokotachi No Wakare by Fishmans
Ta Det Lugnt by Dungen
Iceage's discography

Starts off really canon-heavy, as does my chart, then it gets interesting. Great to see so much Floyd. Good to see KLF and Ogden's Nut Gone Flake. And good rap choices too.
Overall a very good chart. Some notes would be nice

This chart is sick, we may not have the same albums but we have the same type of vibes in our taste, glad to see this chart exists

Pink Floyd is great and all, but you can only put so many of their albums in the top 10.
