Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 12% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.6/100, a mean average of 75.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.0.

Has no where near the amount of grit, atmosphere and "filling" that CLPPNG has and therefore I was left very disappointed. Tracks sounded empty, flat, lacking all with little emotion. There were bits that felt fresh and interesting but overall it was very forgettable and passed by without really grabbing my attention.

A subversive meld of harsh noise and hip-hop. Toys with a lot of hip-hop conventions in very clever ways. I get the feeling that the rapping and the beats should sit perpendicular to each other, but somehow they work brilliantly in unison. Why I should like this and hate Death Grips, I don't know, though I will say that where Death Grips use abrasive noise to create dense, overbearing, claustrophobic beats that feel like a total assault on the ears, clipping use their harsh noise elements in a much more minimal way, with short calm or sometimes silent pauses in between the shrieking blasts of noise, which I think makes it even more shocking than Death Grips. Overall, I just think it's really intelligent, very fun, and has good replay value. A highly impressive release. I have never been particularly enamoured with either noise-hop or glitchy electronica, so it take something special for me to enjoy those elements and this album is certainly that. Recommended.

The flow of the rapping is generally pretty good and the lyrics are passable, but the real great aspect of the album is the incredibly harsh noise the beats are constructed from. If you like your music rough and glitchy then definitely check this out.
