Mercury Rev are always a bit weird but on lots of their albums I can't really dig their weirdness, but here I can. It's not one of their best known albums but to me it's one of their best especially where they just keep jamming along like on Meth Of A Rockette's Chick and Snorry Mouth. Not everything is a highlight though.
One of the most insane albums I've ever heard! I first time I heard the opening track was when I was around 13 or so, and it blew me away, I had never heard anything like it. Some of these songs have amazing build-ups and can make 10 minutes pass like it's nothing. Best tracks imo are: Bronx Cheer,Meth of a Rockette's Kick and Something for Joey
