Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.7/100, a mean average of 70.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.3.

A favorite of mine from the Red Rocker. Sammy’s best. Thanks to KSHE 95, he has a loyal following in St. Louis, MO.

A great rock album from the red rocker. One of his best albums with some classic Hagar favourites like 'There's Only One Way To Rock'. Sammy Hagar is one of those artists who nails some great stuff in his albums but leaves us some forgettable stuff too. His best output was certainly the early work he did with Van Halen.

Not sure why wikipedia has this album listed as heavy metal, as it is generic hard rock the whole way. (Maybe because there's a track titled "heavy metal"...that makes fun of heavy metal?) Ignoring that, sammy pens a few catchy songs to open the album which will appeal to the 80s rock music fan in you (especially "there's only one way to rock"), but the (HIS) songwriting falls apart horribly and hilariously in the album's second half until the decent "piece of my heart" cover.

Another good but unremarkable Sammy Hagar rocker.
