Red Dirt Music (often referred to as Texas Country) has taken over the folksy story-telling style of music that Bobbie Dylan once made his own, albeit being performed in a twangier, hillbillier manner. Hayes Carll is one of the finest banner carriers of the style. Not your average album. Not to all tastes.
