Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 71.3/100, a mean average of 70.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 71.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.7.

Not too bad honestly. Like yeah its not close to the greatest but there's quite a few enjoyable songs on here. Probably just over-shadowed by previous works.

The Green Album feels like the sophomore effort Weezer should have released after The Blue Album. It keeps the abrasive guitars, strong drums, catchy choruses and harmonies from the earlier two albums, but also tries to appeal to a bigger audience with less personal lyrics and a collection of radio-friendly singles. That being said, other than the first four songs and a couple of tracks later on, there is little new or overly interesting on this album. 'Island In The Sun' is the biggest Weezer single, of course, and stands out by sounding completely different to everything else on the album.
There are less melodic hooks on this album, particularly the second half, and not as many standout moments.
I think this album is really steady, with one standout track: Island in the sun. But overall this album is just fun, but not an amazing listening experience.
Pure unadulterated Power Pop
The most painfully mediocre album I have heard. So much wasted potential.
"Hash Pipe" is great, the rest of the album is generic rock, bland and boring.
Not bad, but this album and Island in the Sun are massively overrated
8.3/10
Top Tracks: "Don't Let Go", "Island in the Sun", "O Girlfriend"
Hash Pipe is the best thing here, the remainder is meh kinda average
I guess telling someone this album=high school for me is a bad idea (someone disliked my comment stating such).
Possibly the best pop/geek rock ever written (most of the album). But then the kickass track of hashpipe too. Great come back of a band greatly part of my identity growing up.
