Divertido, fica entre o artificial eletrônico e uma boa audácia.

Oh yeah, I forgot Miley Cyrus in between "female artists I dismissed as a kid, and I should listen back and realize they're kinda great". More than "kinda great" it's not gonna get sadly, but that's okay. The songs are well-written first of all, they respect the genre it's in and she keeps it fun, but not cringy. That an album with so much EDM influence released in 2013 is not horrible is remarkable. But the influence on every song is pretty clear. She's also smart to not go 100% for EDM which had one foot in its grave already, but ride the then-upcoming trap wave a bit with producer Mike Will Made It, which yields gems like 'My Darlin'". It kinda follows The E.N.D with the more acoustic sounding songs near the end, which are also kinda nice. And that's what this album, just kinda nice.

Why her naked on a wrecking ball is controversial is still beyond me; the sexual revolution has done exactly nothing apparently, or at least there has been a rewind. Maybe it became clear a lot of those sexual revolutionaries were still sexist as fuck, and now the sexual revolution has to be done over, but inclusive for women this time. But I think a lot of other factors are preventing that from going any further than Miley naked on a wrecking ball. But she does it well. The usual response of men to her behavior (including me once) is "this ain't sexy, it's just kinda disgusting". Exactly.

We can't stop is the worst non-Meghan Trainor, Pato or Logan Paul song of the decade, it's a trash-the-party "anthem" that sounds like a kidz bop CD skipping for three whole minutes. The rest of this is just completely forgettable, the title is either ironic or a failed ambition either way this album blows

The Deluxe version is better, but regardless if you like her or this record at all, Wrecking Ball a pretty stellar pop song.

needs more bangers. actually pretty mild and forgettable, perhaps it was silly to expect something crazier from Miley even with her much-publicized off-the-wall media moments.
