Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 64.3/100, a mean average of 63.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 63.7/100. The standard deviation for this album is 19.8.

Let me know what you think! There's a bit of a speed metal influence and the singer sounds a tad Dio-ish, but I'd say AT LEAST 80 % of their DNA is that early Maiden b4 Piece Of Mind. ALSO, and this goes for everyone, I'd LOVE to see Your favorite Metal <& Hard Rock! > Albums from 1985…

After two great records, this is the point the wheels were coming off the wagon. Home Sweet Home is undeniable, Louder Than Hell is the second best track, but wasn't good enough to make Shout. Other than that, there is filler all over the place. This is Mötley Crüe's St Anger.

A guilty pleasure. Good ol' fashioned adolescent rock.

Smokin in the Boys Room cracks me up. This album is stuck in an era, but it's still amusing.
