Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 69.8/100, a mean average of 69.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 69.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.4.

Starts off with a great track Heading Out For the Highway and is loaded in the first 6 songs save for Don’t Go but this was the end of a streak of great albums from Sad Wings through British Steel. The rest of the album is not bad but not up to the standard that was set. (Edited)

soooo undervalued: it deserves much more consideration, only immediately down to the top Judas Priest albums.

This album is underrated. It's crime being that it's sandwiched between Priest's two best albums: British Steel and Screaming For Vengeance. 'Solar Angels', 'Desert Plains', 'Heading Out To The Highway' are all strong songs. Halford's vocals are very entertaining on songs like 'Don't Go' and 'You Say Yes' and I see it as a fun experiment in between the two behemoth releases. No need to compare this to other classic Priest albums, just accept it for what it is and it will give plenty back.

The runt of the litter of Priest's glory days. "Heading out to the Highway' & 'Hot Rockin' being the strongest tracks. Everything else is average if not filler.

A steady rock album nothing really stands out though.
