Melopedrada boa!
I managed to go through the first part easier than I would expect, but after a point it became too much for me. This is Slipknot at their most angry. Overall, 50/100.
People = Shit and Plague are really good, but overall this album is a bit inconsistent. I prefer the debut and Vol. 3 over this.
As much as I've grown out of nu metal this is one that I keep coming back to. Call it sentiment if you will (this album came out when I was 18 and hungry for a follow up to their debut) but there a few times where a band had this much hype and were able to deliver so handily. I can put it on today and it is still one of the darkest and heaviest things I have ever heard. Even as my music taste has changed over the years Iowa remains a regular in my rotation.
Most solid Slipknot work, achieving what the band tries to do the best. Still, not the greatest thing you've ever heard, that's for sure.

Probably one of the most brutal albums ever recorded, which means it's an acquired taste. Don't like this music, you'll end up hating it. But, you gotta give it credit for it's sheer brutality, as seen obviously on tracks like "People = Shit" and "Disasterpiece".

For someone who likes this kind of metal, surely a good album. It's definitely not my taste and I switched off at track 6.

An extremely aggressive and hostile sounding record that doesn't let up for a moment. People = Shit, Heretic anthem and I Am Hated are among the standout tracks, but it's all pretty solid.
