Achilles, Agony and Ecstacy is masterpiece. Unashamedly over-the-top yet has integrity. I hadn’t listened to this album for years and a couple of songs like Metal Warriors and The Demon’s Whip are cringeworthy but the epic opening track is brilliant and displays the talent of all members in the band.
I bought this album on the merit of one song I'd heard, 'Ride the Dragon'. Loved it (the song). I had other Manowar albums so didn't think it was that much of a gamble getting the album. Not to be. Was quite disappointed. There lengthy rock opera first track that fills half the album does nothing for me. The rest is average. I prefer others over this
