Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 5% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 76.2/100, a mean average of 76.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 11.9.

"Pass This On" is my favorite from this album.
The Knife combine the best parts of electronic music from the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s to make a decidedly more upbeat album than Silent Shout. Heartbeats is one of the best songs of the 2000s.
8.8/10
To the people who compare this to Grimes: maybe listen to some more electronic music before opening your mouth. Really the most delusional thing I've read in a while. If you would say that about Goldfrapp, I would try to defend you, but this? No. She probably never heard this band, let alone be influenced by it.
Anyway...
Their debut consists of mediocre synthpop with some electroclash influences here and there, with a front singer that imitates Björk constantly - look, the elephant in the room.
'She's having a baby' actually sounds like they ripped off the soundtrack of a Kirby game. Kirby and the Crystal Shards that is, the track is called 'Quiet Forest', and now that I think of it, I'd rather be listening to that instead.
I might've doubled on the hate because of the extremely bad take that it sounds like Grimes (not that I'm trying to defend Grimes, she's being overrated even harder, but their music is just not similar, unless your brain can't think beyond "electronic + pop"), but whatever, it's fun (to me, at least). Some tracks are quite nice.
thoroughly original synth/electro-pop album with a lot of catchy & huge tracks. as one reviewer said, it does feel like they got there before grimes by about a decade
One of my very favorite electropop albums. Solid all the way through.
'Heartbeats' is fantastic, their best song by a clear margin I'd say. But 'Listen Now' might be their worst...
It's like a version of Grimes that existed 10 years before her.
