Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Its the uncut gem version of Bonito Generation. Still, its unique and very fun. Love it.
Wholesome, quirky fun. I've never heard anything quite like it. You can already see the group's potential here, which they would later refine and evolve.

I don't know how I found this album... or why each track made me listen to the next. Needless to say it's something else and I feel odd now listening to it. What am I doing here?
Filled with strange, cutesy electronica with (sometimes) even stranger and profound subtext. Never less than interesting, love the video-game samples as well!

So goodhearted and effortlessly odd. I think listening to this adds years to your life. Happy years too, not miserable years where you're barely hanging on. thank you Jim and Revolver.

Sounds like M.I.A. getting kidnapped by a Super Nintendo and forced by joystick to sing in Japanese. Suffice it to say it's utterly terrific...
