Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. Had this on cassette, used to listen to it on a blaster in my little apartment, and I thought then what I still think coming back to it now. To me, this is a really smart, fun, sophisticated album that is perfectly of its time, but also has a lot of soul to it. Got to knock some points off, though, because the production is also of its time: thin and brittle with a shallow bottom end.

The story and personality is actually much more interesting than the music.
Excellent production and catchy songs makes this a memorable debut, topped only by Colour By Numbers.
