Not one of BÖC's stronger live releases; A Long Day's Night showcases a version of Eric Bloom pretending he is still in his mid-30's range-wise, poor production that completely masks keys and bass in favor of vocals and drums, and one of the least consistent drummers of the band's career (sorry Bobby, but your tempo is all over the place).
Anyway, despite these flaws, it's still a killer setlist that sees BÖC digging deep into their underrated catalog to deliver uncommon gems like Quicklime Girl, Perfect Water, Lips in the Hills, and Astronomy. If I wasn't clear earlier: These guys can still play the crap out of their instruments in 2002 (and 2020 too, by the way), and is at least worth hearing if you're a fan...because it's still live Blue Öyster Cult.
