I'd compare this debut to Smashing Pumpkins' debut, Gish, but I much prefer this. Their sound on this album is very similar to SP, in the 2000s they changed more to pop-rock but I'd say this album just about shades their 2000s work. I'm surprised this band (and especially this album) don't get more recognition globally. High is an incredible song, one of my favourites and is the standout track on this album. But overall the quality is very strong throughout. Other highlights are My Perfect Day and Polythene Girl. A must-listen for any Smashing Pumpkins fan.
