"dark" "creepy" "tribal" are words used by other contributors here that I'd agree with. To me it is the second best album of the Dreijer siblings (after silent shout).

This album is like the dark tale of a little girl who's being haunted by the boogeyman. Eerie and creepy, in the best possible way. I love it.

I had a great time listening to it.

Some songs are really expressing like "When i grow Up" or "seven". This album still has a lot of different instruments that when played in harmony produce great songs.creativity they have to know when and how to use these instruments is inspiring. Starting with the simplest, until evolve the more complex
I really enjoyed, even that some songs looked similar. but it may be just my mind, that is not comfortable with this music genius.

I cannot overstate how much I love this record. There is nothing else quite like it (including The Knife). It's dark, but has a weirdly organic quality to it. It's like the music your brain would invent during a weird dream.

By shifting away from the usual Knife's techno music, Karin makes a beautifully bleak album filled with dark, tribal, and pagan influences. BUT it's really cool and one of the most perfect albums ever

Karin Dreijer Andersson is one of the greatest minds currently active in pop music. She can write a hook as well as anyone can but then masks it in this dark, almost Lynchian weirdness. Her vocals, manipulated and not, are always compelling even though somewhat alien and usually creepy. And her lyrics are full of vivid imagery that also wouldn't seem out of place in, say Twin Peaks or Mulholland Dr. There's no one really doing what she's doing, not exactly anyway.

This album had me from the first seconds of the first track and is absolutely relentless. Coconut is an astounding track, and is a perfect closer. When I Grow Up and Dry and Dusty are the other two highlights.

I also had the good fortune of seeing a Fever Ray performance, and it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Here's to hoping she does something else as Fever Ray.

It sounds very dark and creepy. Reminds me of ethnic music of pagan tribes. The best to listen when you walk alone in the dark forest. Pure perfection.
