Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 78.6/100, a mean average of 78.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 79.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.0.

His studio albums are fantastic, but this one is an album that was not fully finalized by Jimi. His songs sound familiar to the older ones. But definitely, his future style is beginning to grow and show here. He is one of my all-time music heroes-
The full energy of his compositions was only unleashed when hearing and experiencing them live.

I wish I could see what Hendrix would have done with these tracks had he lived.

Most under rated of all his albums. More laid back feel with less show boating but most of these songs stand strong, 'Angel' being the winner. Overall a great much under appreciated bit of work from Jimi

A nice, melodic and almost laid back album full of fine songs, including the wonderful, Angel. An underrated record.

Criminally underrated! Works on many levels though obviously not as good as his finished works.

Final recordings from Jimi and much better than band of gypys. Almost impossible to get hold of until recent re release. Essential insight to the different direction his music was taking from someone whose recording career could have rivaled Miles Davis and Bob Dylan.

So amazing to hear what he was working on at the end of his life and imagine what it could have been if he'd been able to finish it.

Wow, you hear this and wish it wasn't his last ligit album. Freedom and Angel are some of his best songs, and the holistic qualities of this album rival that of Are You Experienced.

Night Bird reminds me of the Alman Brother's... he was about paying respects...
