Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 7% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.4/100, a mean average of 74.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.0.

I've been looking for a Black Keys album that worked for me. I am pretty sure this is the one. It's got the rawness of the earlier albums but with better production

some good stuff on here. Needs a few listens before you get some of them.
That's what they call rock 'n' roll
The album that broke them into mainstream. Pretty good album, got better with the next two.
Solid album, however I think each record of theirs has improved each time upto and including 'El camino'
Might be better than Brothers - it's certainly more consistent.
This is probably my favorite Keys album. Some of their absolute best songs are here, with I Got Mine still being the bands live closer. Danger Mouse did a good job on this album, creating a completely different atmosphere while retaining the bands bluesy sound.
Despite having many albums before this, with the help of Danger Mouse, I think this marks the Black Keys move in to the mainstream and stardom recognition they have today.
