Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. He may have made one or two cheesy pop songs and had an omnipresence during the 80s that some found excessive, but this man has been involved in some amazing work too and there is no doubt that he is at least in the top 10 greatest drummers that's ever lived. I don't think he's a bad singer as well to be fair

An outstanding musician. A phenomenal drummer, both powerful and incredibly versatile. His vocals aren't bad either. Some of his work is iconic and he's a superb live performer.
Phillip, as we knew him, used to live at the bottom of my garden. From the back of our house you went across the cricket pitch, over the polo field, waded through a river, through a meadow, hacked your way into a wood, over a corn field and there was Phillip's mansion. Never met, or even set eyes on him (Edited)
