The album I stopped being interested in Phil Collin’s solo work. Too eighties sounding, songs are fluff, and simply has no holding power for me to listen to it from start to finish. Oh it does have Sussudio....huge hit and I hated it and still do!

My first ever job was standing at the entrance to a Big W ( Bundaberg QLD Australia) checking bags and just near where I stood was “ The Music Section “ . Here the selection was truely awful bar one album.. No Jacket Required by Phil Collins. I recall playing this album over and over again to pass the time to very boring job. Every song is etched in my psych . It doesn’t quite make my all time list, but it’s still a terrific album

The music isn't bad, but the production is too 80's for me.

A fun pop album with a couple of excellent cuts in, one more night, and, sussudio, and the rest disposable, but enjoyable.

Maybe it's not groundbreaking music, but this thing made Mr. Collins an obscene pile of money and I respect the skills it takes to do that. The songs are enjoyable and people want to listen to them repeatedly, so good for Phil Collins. "Inside Out", "One More Night", and "Take Me Home" are my favorites. The latter was particularly well-done on Phil's live shows.

some nice tracks here. but also some of the usual phil-fleeting-pop-stuff.

Fashionable to bash (even though I didn't think Phil really lost it until But Seriously when he got too AC) but if you were there in 1985, you know you owned a copy. And there are some solid tracks here even if Sussudio wasn't a career highlight.

Massive album, easily recognizable to many... but it's so safe and sensible. There's a place for contemporary pop-rock, I guess...

I Love 'Take Me Home' best Phil Collins track, another 80's walkman cassette overplayed for me ,in the loft now maybe other top tracks Sussudio,One More Night
