I'll probably be banished from the internet just for saying this, but here we go: Michael may have the single best album (and by that I mean Off the wall, not Thriller), but if we're talking about overall discography, Janet Jackson's is stronger than her brother's.

Her music sounds really dated now. Pass.
Janet is a pretty consistent artist. Her best albums are "All For You", "Velvet Rope", and "Rhythm Nation".
Sadly, Janet remains severely underrated. Her back catalog rivals just about anybody's. Billboard ranks Janet as the 7th best Hot 100 artist of all time - even ahead of her big brother.
"Unbreakable" just debuted at #1, her seventh #1 album. And it's the fourth consecutive DECADE she's had a #1 album. That's extremely impressive.

This lady can sing, maybe not as well respected as her brother was but she comes a close second in this famous family. Her best album is Janet from 1993 The Velvet Rope is also worth a listen, as is Control. I find that The Rhythm Nation album although considered her best while it is a good album it is in my opinion her 4th best album. I do hope after the death of her brother she releases her new rumoured album in 2015.
She's good, but rather average.
