One of the greatest artist and the greatest entertainer of all time.
Michael Jackson was first a child star, the lead singer of the Jackson 5 and he became the biggest artist in the world during the 80s and 90s. At his peak he was the most appealing artist in history.
What he did from Off The Wall to Dangerous was consistant and great. He continued to create huge hits until mid-90s.
His stage peak was The Bad Tour (87-89).
He did so much for music and broke racial barriers, he took black music to a worldwide level (Thriller) not only his biggest achievement but his greatest album. He was a prolific songwriter and wrote most of his hits. He changed music videos to make it an art form. He even had huge influence on fashion.
He was the perfect package.

I try to separate the man from the music because of the terrible rumors out there and strange behavior we witnessed. His music made pop music what it is today. It’s not my type of music but can’t deny his greatness and there are several tracks I still enjoy. As for the classic debate MJ vs Prince I take Prince by a landslide.
