Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart is rated in the top 2% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 91.1/100, a mean average of 94.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 94.1/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 4.6.

This is an overall classic rock best-of-the-best list... I usually recommend some Latin rock bands to see if you like them and upload them to the list, so here they are:
- Sui Generis - Pequeñas Anécdotas Sobre las Instituciones (1974) (this is Charly Garcia's best work before going solo and becoming the most important rockstar of Argentina in the 80's)
- Pescado Rabioso - Artaud (1973) (folk rock/psychedelic rock) led by Luis Alberto Spinetta from Argentina.
- Invisible - El Jardín de los Presentes (1976) & Durazno Sangrando (1975) (same band leader, new musicians)
- I might be wrong, but I didn't see Santana - Abraxas (1970)
- La Maquina de Hacer Pájaros (both albums have great songs, maybe you decide which one you like the most)
- Also check out Arco Iris - Arco Iris Gustavo Santoloalla's first rock band.
- Although I'm from Mexico, there is not much rock in the 70's here, probably the most iconic is Three Souls in my Mind's Chava de onda (1973) or Adicto al rock n' roll (1976), which is almost the same album with a few more songs and remasters.
- Triana - El Patio (1974) is a mix of flamenco, progressive rock, and a glimpse of heavy metal from Andalucía, Spain.

Those are rock albums, but if you want to check out some sounds that are near to world music or Latin music: Los Jaivas, Los Mirlos, Willie Colon, Hector Lavoe have great albums in the 70's

Love this! Many albums in common with my fave 70s, with some artists I've never heard of so must check them out. Great to see the love for Led Zep and Floyd, quite obviously the two best bands.

36 in common with my chart. Not sure about the ten albums per year restriction, 1974 was a lean year for example, (only my opinion).

Excellent chart! Love to see obvious classics such as London Calling and Rumours ranked among some less familiar material.

Good chart, I like how high you have Close to the Edge, but I would have liked to have seen LZIV and Houses of the Holy flipped, but good chart nonetheless.
