Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Well, Queen is pretty much the product of fantasy. The greatest night you could spend at the opera.

I must confess that Pink Floyd's second most highly praised album was a big disappointment for such a long time. To me, it felt like an unsuccesful attempt to match or even surpass "The Dark Side of the Moon". It did neither, but today I understand it's perfection yet another time. I especially love the mystifying atmospheric transitions between the songs. "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" is an impressive piece and an interesting idea to split up the song in two, but I still think the title track is a little overpraised.

Paul McCartney feels like letting go a little in the role as frontman and gives Denny Laine and Jimmy McCulloch their go at performing lead vocals. "Venus and Mars" with cosmic sounds in the title track(s) is the typical genre-confused, highly enjoyable rock show you'd expect from Paul McCartney and Wings, an album only right below its much more popular predecessor, "Band on the Run", in terms of quality.

Another green world as in otherworldly, but not totally unlike our planet. "Song-songwriter" Brian Eno meets future ambient Brian Eno on beautifully composed journey-esque album, a green earthly vs. cosmic landscape in itself!

Tangled up in blue, completely. Musically, one of his strongest albums and a gorgeous atmosphere to go with it. Emotionally loaded too!

Kashmir of what Led Zeppelin are capable of. A double album that's like a wall with musical graffiti loosely tagged all over it. Whether or not it's true, it sounds like it was recorded in a rush leaving a raw rock 'n' roll spirit to the record!

Music exactly as light as it is dark, but mostly an album that lights you up. Generally sweet lightly progressive rock!

Springsteen's uplifting thunder road. It feels like something that mainly appeals to the young generation... of the 1970s, I might add, the generation that wanted to run away and explore the world. The grandiose arrangements, Bruce's passionate voice, all the saxes... it's huge!

Mellow your mind with this raw and fragile album which, despite what the album title might suggest, is not a party album. It is however a true night album, quite dark and melancholic and recorded in only one day two years before it was actually released.
