Every Picture Tells a Story - 10 Album Art
by Error Finn

A good cover image has been successfully captured a piece of the disc theme or mood, symmetrical or just catching pattern and, above all, speaks to the viewer, and interest in self-recording to an eye-catching image.(That we all know)
I don´t like monster illustrated albums.I feel they are impersonal and, frankly, ugly. These are predictably, the tedious, which tend to scare and glamorous at the same time. No points, sorry. What remains is still a lot of opportunities ...I appreciate the simplicity, the use of color, humanity, insight and a sense of the situation.
Excellent example of strong colors, and the use of improvised music was record label Impulse!, which was free jazz trendsetter, was able to exploit the new format to the fullest and its LPs are any noted for their distinctive visual style. The label's trademark were black, orange and white.(This is something we all don´t know)
It is interesting to note that a significant proportion of the British pop / rock musicians (in 1960s and beyond) had been in Art Schools. There they learn the the visual, theatrical, and just like to work as a painter. When the musicians start to think like painters, and not enough to their art heard music, but it also be displayed.Sgt. Pepper album cover reveals that the musicians are artists.(The rest is history, and that is why there is a BEA)

I'm always on my mind called this album in a Diamond. This "African Star" incredible picture has done German painter Matias Klarwein. Mati Klarwein´s (1932-2002) most famous work is inspired by surrealism and pop culture, but also reflects his interest in non-Western deities, symbolism, and landscapes."Bitches Brew" cover decidedly Afro-centric and psychedelic undertones reverberated within both the Black Power movement and the progressive counterculture of the early 70s. Ok, BB's (like Santana’s Abraxas),image has been analyzed many times, but if you own it fine on LP, place it on your wall. [First added to this chart: 11/28/2013]

The original vinyl (gatefold) contained a surprise to a billion-dollar bill.It sounds like giant inflation of the 1920s in Germany.
"Million dollar babies
Billion dollar babies
Trillion dollar babies
Zillion dollar babies
M-m-million babies
M-m-million dollar babies" They have access to the money of the United States president.Elected!

Fairport Convention was generated by the folk rock in the late 1960s. At the same time, it also gave birth with a "family of great album covers".Look at these four albums (the children) for the years 1969-71 (Liege & Lief, Full House, Angel Delight and Babbacombe Lee) and you'll find them exciting visual sibling of spirituality. Female.Emotional intelligence."Blue",the album image is a kind of blue, indigo blue, reminding the 50's jazz albums cover (as referring to come Mingus recordings?). Album covers look like what the inside of the music sounds.I choose this album among the first.I would not have made this top ten even, if "Blue" would not have been included! When the album is called "Sweetheart of the Rodeo" and the album cover of "rodeo professionals," can already infer the content of the music.Somehow, I always thought that the album a picture, there is a serious attempt (Byrds point of view) to find new audiences. It was influential as the first major country-rock album. But the conservative of country friends are not cared about the album, reached # 77 on the Billboard Charts.I have always liked the album, and the beautiful album cover. The use of color is strong. As some of Nicholas Ray's films from the 1950s: people of color against environmental color.Picture has something that really dangerous and at the same time mesmerizing great.Image watching, thinks stagnant moment.Does White Stripes love the color of red? We know that one picture speaks more than thousand words, but Robert Crumb comics sing better than a billion babies.A cartoon on the cover of the album!? Why not. Crumb was a hard fan of Joplin, so he, J.J and the band spent a lot of time together. My favorite here is a picture - black woman holding a baby, who is crying or singing the words:"SUMMETIME" (Gerswin Bros; vocals:Janis ARR: S. Andrew)***** [First added to this chart: 11/28/2013]

This album cover is a charming, even Film Noir-style-seeking, detailed eye-catcher.It is also a tribute to the old radio DJs, who are the artists himself. As a great friend of the radio, seeing this picture give me a nostalgic feelings. In Finland, one of the long line of well-known music journalist is quoted at this picture, by placing himself in "The Nightfly" a DJ scene. This angel-faced girl (28 year old woman!) is looking directly at you. She looked at me for the first time in the spring of 1994, when I bought this album. This picture does not get bored. Björk's begging gesture touch to sensual.Actually, this is even more photo like the album!Or, at least, one of the relatives thought - and he thought that the picture is my girlfriend!
