Were they necessary as a band to so obviously influence Art Bruts debut? Did people suffer through "I'll be your mirror" just to hear the semi-serious shouts of Eddie Argos on "formed a band". " [First added to this chart: 07/23/2011]

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Phenomenal chart! love the earl sweatshirt placement. surprised at the amount of arctic monkeys but as someone who thoroughly enjoyed seeing them live i can't complain

I feel your comment on my chart was sort of off base. I left a more thorough explanation on my chart. I can't rate yours because there is too much I haven't heard. As for your chart, well I like Another Green World and Brian Eno, but not as much as you. That first Arctic Monkeys album gave me serious ear fatigue, which made me hate it, so I haven't been able to listen to anything by them since. I like Blur. 13 was a really weird album that I don't think was very cohesive. Parklife is really enjoyable, but also really derivative of all the great British pop bands that came before Blur (none of which are represented on your chart). I wanted to like Merriwether Post Pavilion, but I don't care for the overly dense sound of it. The Strokes first album is great, but along with Parklife, that's a popular and critical favorite, so I think you're a tad hypocritical in your criticism of my chart. Welcome to best ever albums.

Nice choice with Seefeel. I can't recall seeing that album anywhere yet -- at least so high up. More albums though...
