Top 37 Greatest Music Albums by mccarron94

This is my first chart and is just a list of some albums that I've listened to that have stuck with me over the years. They aren't necessarily the best albums of all times but they have meant something to me.

I don't really care for ranking albums in a personal chart like this so please forgive some of the ranking choices.

I think enough has been said about this album already on here but for me I think the surrealist lyrics and the low-fi sound really hit home why this album is so special. [First added to this chart: 09/16/2016]

To be honest, everyone is always telling me that this is one of their weaker albums and "Mean Everything To Nothing" is better. I think the lyrics on this album are much better and the sound is a lot more dynamic then some of their newer stuff. Manchester's unreleased stuff and this album are probably my favorites. Everyone says Doolittle is better but this album does so much more stylistically and with quiet/loud sound. [First added to this chart: 09/16/2016]

Not so guilty pleasure album. I've listen to this album more times then I'm willing to admit. Very catchy, recorded in various basements in NJ, was originally two separate EPs but changed lasted minute. What the Violent Femmes are to punk is what this album is to pop-punk. My favorite Bright Eyes album tends to change depending on my mood oddly enough since they are all sad but this album I could listen to anytime. Lifted and Fevers & Mirrors are definitely superior albums but I need to be in the right mood for them. I hate First Day of My Life. [First added to this chart: 09/16/2016]

Smith recorded 30+ songs for this album and it shows. The lyrics are cynical and throughout the album go back to gambling, trying to make it by, drugs/drinking, depression/apathy, and in the midst of all the chaos trying to find someone to spend some time with.

No Name No.5 is the only weak track.

Great Album about trying to stay warm in the dead of winter in an abandon house (at least that's how I read it). Made me wish I had a Scottish accent. [First added to this chart: 09/16/2016]
