Thought of this thing and wanted to update. Feels kinda nostalgic doing this :)

damn, I totally forgot about this until I randomly stumbled upon BEA again. I remember making this when younger, and back then I forced a lot of diversity in nationalities, decades and genres into this list. I really tried to fit in with the obscure artsy aesthetic. It seems to have worked, as my list is on the second page of highest rated lists. A lot was fabricated, the thought process was more like "Yeah, I liked this 80's Russian post punk record I've listened to once, could as well put it in the back end of the list to boost the stats" (as I had gap of 80's and non-americas records, so any that would fit in the list would be added. I was very aware of that kind of stuff).
Now, three years later I'm slightly embarrassed. I'm happy I diversified; it forced me to listen to a wide variety of music, but squeezing in 80's Russian post punk you've listened to once made the end result not too genuine. I'll clear the air a bit. I'll delete a lot of records. I'll leave what I actually love. Some new notes will be written. And this time, I will have no filter and not care about decade or country distribution.

Lots of surprises. White Light is also my favorite Velvet album. Overall just really like the odd picks from familiar artists and I'm looking forward to check out the unfamiliar ones, and... Minecraft??? Can we do video game soundtracks now? 'cause Kirby and the Crystal Shards has one of the best.

Happy to see you expanded to a hundred. Your taste is definitely pretty out there. Some of these albums are just a bit too much for me, but I'm glad someone is able to enjoy them. I gave "Stratosphere" a listen and found it quite pleasant..

For somebody so new to this site I did NOT expect a chart so detailed, so complex, so diverse. Believe me, the '100' score I have given this chart does not come easily won, there's no doubt the work you've put into this deserves it. I can't wait to see this when you hit 100 albums. Here's a few recs you won't find in my own chart that you might enjoy:

You seem like one to be always interested in broadening their musical horizons. Try these on for size, I think you might like a couple:
- Talk Talk, "Colour of Spring": amazingly crafted 80's pop
- Frank Ocean, "Blonde": modern rnb/pop/genre-defying opus
- The Orb "Adventures in the Underworld": fantastic house music
- Amon Tobin "Permutations": jazz-inflected electronica, break-core adjacent
- DJ Shadow, "Endtroducing...": instrumental hip-hop/trip-hop
