Thought of this thing and wanted to update. Feels kinda nostalgic doing this :)

damn, I totally forgot about this until I randomly stumbled upon BEA again. I remember making this when younger, and back then I forced a lot of diversity in nationalities, decades and genres into this list. I really tried to fit in with the obscure artsy aesthetic. It seems to have worked, as my list is on the second page of highest rated lists. A lot was fabricated, the thought process was more like "Yeah, I liked this 80's Russian post punk record I've listened to once, could as well put it in the back end of the list to boost the stats" (as I had gap of 80's and non-americas records, so any that would fit in the list would be added. I was very aware of that kind of stuff).
Now, three years later I'm slightly embarrassed. I'm happy I diversified; it forced me to listen to a wide variety of music, but squeezing in 80's Russian post punk you've listened to once made the end result not too genuine. I'll clear the air a bit. I'll delete a lot of records. I'll leave what I actually love. Some new notes will be written. And this time, I will have no filter and not care about decade or country distribution.

This is definitely one of the most original lists I seen on this site (which lets be honest, is pretty conservative taste wise), but unfortunatelly there are too many artists I dont know so I cant give it a rating, just a nod for originality.

Very ambitious and courageous chart.
I´m sorry to say I don´t like Black Metal but I like to give a high rating anyway.
Maybe you like my "The Noise Of Trouble" chart .. (and maybe sooner or later some of your picks are going to find their way into this chart)

don't know a lot of these albums but you get 100 for have you in my wilderness in #1 and because of legitimate diverse taste in genre. Not the usual 60s/70s rock circle jerk picks a lot of other charts are plagued with.
Will check a lot of these albums out.
