Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 85.0/100, a mean average of 84.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 84.7/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 10.0.

Classic after classic and a couple of curveballs. Brilliant chart. Would be an easy 100/100 if I liked Randy Newman, Willie Nelson and Wilco but I don't. Sorry! But overall its a terrific chart and I like how you list your other favourite albums by your artists, in your notes. It was a pleasure to read this.
Interesting mix of albums and a few I am going to check out
Excellent chart. Familiar with and enjoy all the albums in it.
A very good chart.
I'm just surprised not seeing "Fresh" in the favourite albums of Sly.
Too much compilations !
But nice chart.
Very strong chart!!
Excellent, ecletic chart. Many favourites and sneaky favourites. Happy to see Sinatra and Go Betweens so high.
I'm sure you could go a Top 500 list some great albums from the vpbest era in music late 60's - 70's
Great chart with some unusual additions with a bit to many box sets and compilations to be perfect, but admire the honest approach. Really like it.
