This was maybe my first favourite album, and I believe it to still be my favourite to this day. Songs like Eleanor Rigby, Here, There and Everywhere and For No One show Paul McCartney in the prime of his songwriting.

Genesis came way too late into my life, but I am so happy that I chose to start listening to them. This album is really close to my heart, and I would almost say that it's tied for the number one spot. No other band has perfected the art of ending albums on high notes, and this might be the best ending of any album I've ever heard.

I discovered Sufjan Stevens only about a year ago, but in that year, I have more or less only listened to Sufjan. A truly unique artist with melodies and arrangements that make your hairs rise. One of the greatest composers of the last 30 years, and this album is his greatest without a single bad track, which is a feat considering the album contains 22 tracks.

The darkest Pink Floyd album (maybe apart from The Wall), but also the best when it comes to lyrics and melodies. The guitar solo in Dogs is the standout moment from this album.

This has to be top 10 in any "best albums of all time"-chart. An immediately recognizable classic. It doesn't get much more creative than this.

The excellent Richard Wright really shines in this journey of an album. Great variation in the songs, and Gilmour doing some of his best ever work on Shine On You Crazy Diamond.

You don't need more than three songs on an album if they are all of this quality. Three prog classics, all more spectacular than the other. Not really the world's biggest Yes fan, but it is fair to say that I am a fan of this album.

One of his longest albums, and (in my opinion) his very best. Bob Dylan spewed out great songs one after another in the middle of the 60s, and there is not one single "weak" track in this masterpiece of an album.

With instant prog classics like Watcher of The Skies and Supper's Ready, and only one "filler" in Horizons, but still one of the most beautiful guitar songs from the 70s. Supper's Ready might be the best prog rock song ever made.

The last Beatles album to be recorded, it is also maybe the one where all members of the band work most as a team, and it is extremely rewarding. I Want You (She's So Heavy) and the medley might be two of the earliest signs of prog rock just a few weeks before the release of King Crimson's wonderful In The Court of The Crimson King.

Nice chart! I don't know if you tried Gentle Giant, but based on your tastes, I think you might like it (Three Friends, Free Hand, Octopus, Gentle Giant). Also, have you heard "Time And A Word" from Yes? This album is crazy good!
