95.05* One of my favorite Dead Kennedy albums. Not always but over time resinated more and more. Overall much faster paced than there other albums hence how they crammed 21 songs into it. Fantastic from start to finish. Short, fast, furious songs with the always present slap in the face lyrics. One of the most truth bearing bands on the planet but delivered in the happiest way. Love them. 06/25

80.62 Always enjoy Nick Cave. This one took a bit longer than usual to grow on me. It's a dark jazzy gothic storytellers album. It was due to the jazz element that it took time to gel, but now it gets better every time I listen to it. It's down the list on my most preferred albums from him, but it's still a fucking great album. That just shows the caliber of the man. Top notch musician.

80.00* Did very well commercially but not how I would summarize typical commercial radio music. More like they picked up and ran with what seemed popular at the time. Quite haunting in scope and vocal. Many decent tracks.

77.91 Classic Aussie hard rock. They deserved to be bigger internationally. Well done to them for making 'We Gotta Get Out of This Place' they're own. A version that surpasses the original 07/24

75.62 After the glorious albums before it, I was quite disappointed with this. I tried to like it but it just didn't gel with me. A few great tracks but overall it seemed like the magic songwriting well was running dry. 'Wasted Years' is of the same legendary status as the best of the songs before it but for most of the rest, I found it average ho-hum

75.00 Put out after 'Defenders of the Faith' which was always going to be a hard act to follow. I remember when this came out it got hammered in reviews due to them using synth guitars. The title track is up there with the best tracks they've made. There's a couple of songs where the synth guitars are quite prevalent but overall it's a stock standard meat and potatoes classic metal album. Overall it's an average album from them. Nothing to get excited about but it's still alright. 01/25
