Double CD this one. For a symphonic metal band teaming up live with a symphony orchestra I was left a bit disappointed. CD one is very orchestra orientated focusing more on classical without really giving it a heavy touch. It's not until the end of the first CD then on the second that it hits the mark that I was expecting once the band and Simone Simons beautiful voice kicks in. Not at all bad. Just could of been better.

While exploring Symphonic Metal bands I saw these guys are held in quite high regard in Symphonic metal land. I was a little disappointed. Maybe I've started on the wrong album from them. It's alright but the vocals don't seem to hit the ranges of the front-women of other bands. It's almost commercial pop vocals. Also I wouldn't really classify the music on this as metal. Some good tracks but overall not enough grunt. I'd say it falls under the melodic rock banner.
