"Denim and Leather is an anthem filled album. It's hard to say which tracks are the best but if I had to pick I'd say Princess of the Night, And the Bands Played On, and Denim and Leather. The whole album is worth a listen though."  Reply

"This album rocks, and that's what there is to say about that. There are two or three dud tracks: Pity You and Love Without Anger in particular don't have the same energy as the rest of the album, but they've still got a little something to them. Race of Doom comes on a little hard to start side 2..."  [+]  Reply

"Exuberant and playful female-led rock music. Not exactly post-punk, or new wave, (though there are some new wave synths), has more in common with mid to late 80's jangle-twee indie. Lots of great songs, though the abrasive guitars and high-pitched vocals get a bit tiresome. 'Too Big For Your Boot..."  [+]  Reply

"One of the more unique power pop albums due to the influence of quirky new wave and experimental pop. Stamey seems to be the band's driving force regarding creativity, but Holsapple's conventional tunes are just as impressive."  Reply

"Short, fast, furious with the majority of songs just topping the minute mark. Try singing along to them. Not a shit show. How Jello can verbalize at the speed he does is beyond me. This is probably more one for the fanatic DK fans. Wouldn't be the one to introduce them to newcomers. Favorite line..."  [+]  Reply

"Great sense of diversity for a hardcore punk record which does not really say much for a style infamous for its minimalism, but the point is this is not one of those hardcore records where it feels its all a variation of the same song (like in the case of Damaged and Minor Threat, no matter how m..."  [+]  Reply

"Apart from the Passionate Friend there aren't many other tracks that would I describe as singles. There are a few good album tracks like Tiny Children, And The Fighting Takes Over, Great Dominions which scrape this album into a 7...just. Julian Cope is one of the voices that I remember from the e..."  [+]  Reply
