Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 1% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 80.1/100, a mean average of 78.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 80.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.7.

I have nothing more to say they what has been said. You like The Clash and Dead Kennedys right now? Listen to this right now and don't leave it as long as I did. Great collection of songs indeed.
Fugazi opened the the decade of the 1990s with a blistering collection of abstracted theatrical and politically committed pieces of thundering dissonant sonic hardcore punk. The music is seemingly guided by an otherwordly force driven by a palpable psychological tension and Wagnerian intensity that paradoxically results in catharsis. In this regard, the album displays a zen-like aspect which contrasts with a phenomenal rhythm section that heightens the tension of the music underlying the spasmodic nature of the playing. Repeater is a timeless piece of hardcore punk that is arguably the greatest in its genre.
The importance of this album must be found in what it represented for hardcore punk: Repeater introduced hardcore in the indie rock context, making it less difficult to appreciate and understand. Furthermore, the abilities shown by the band are incredible: they could play whatever they want, but they chose to create their own, unmatched sound.
Turnover begins with a nice n’ slow ambient start that lurches into an unforgettable & timeless riff. Repeater is funkily dapper, the theme song of a white-collar professional who spitefully steals office supplies & is building his own studio (to be cont.)
An airing of grievances never felt quite so motivated.
