Jboy56Like the first half, but the second half (from Binky the Doormat on, with the exception of Electrolite) is a bit weak. E-Bow the Letter is my favourite REM song. Other highlights are How The West Was Won and New Test Leper.
R.E.M.'s best album. It wows me track after track with every listen. Many will prefer Murmur, Documentary or Automatic for the People, but I think this album is the best version of R.E.M.

Just bought the reissue on LP. This is a true masterpiece that was completely out of place in 1996 alternative music. I feel like 25 years later it is finally breathing in the space it was meant to occupy.
I was around 11/12 years old the first time i heard this album. When it got to Leave, i couldn't believe how amazing it was... It's a miracle this song exists.
