What's those Elliott smith records sound like? Been tempted by the prices when I was in Hmv but I'm sick of getting lifeless sounding reissues and mainly just stick to new now. Hence theses I picked up Hitchhiker by Neil Young Antisocialites by Alvvays
I was really gutted when they got rid of HMV in Canada. Like, yeah, there are independents to go to instead, but I had so many fond memories of there.
I've also been light on record spending as of late... working on a move... don't need to add more weight to the load. 😨 _________________ Doubles & Conch
Got this on now via that spotify. It sounds mint so going to have to get back to the record shop tomorrow for this. Fuck the guardian review. Must be on crack. Harmony Of Difference by Kamasi Washington

I was gutted when they got rid of HMV too, even though I was just an occasional visitor from Buffalo to Toronto to buy records three or four times a year. i was even MORE gutted when they got rid of the giant spinning records on Sam the Record Man. That was downright traumatizing for me. I heard that they saved them though and are going to put them up somewhere else
