"Wow! Almost 50 years old, and this is magical. As of now it's in my top 3 of 1969. And sure I haven't got that much of that year as well as the decade under my belt, this album is pretty mind-blowing and I am able to pick out the influences from this piece."  Reply

"What a great surprise! I didn’t have big expectations, since I wasn’t that into their first two albums. But this one, I fell in love with. The balance between the three singers, in both melodies and lyrics, is spot on. They complement each other beautifully. The arrangements are full of surprises..."  [+]  Reply

"These guys once played on the shore of the Arctic Ocean with Metallica for a bunch of Inuit kids and Molson contest winners. Could you imagine? A hell of a show, I'm sure."  Reply

"Procol Harum's 1967 album is easily among the greatest debut-albums ever released. In fact, it could be the greatest. In a highly original way Procol Harum succeeded in combining raw rhythm'n blues with classical music. With Keith Reid's dark mysterious lyrics and Brooker's soulful voice these 19..."  [+]  Reply

"Creedence started out good and with each successive record (until Pendulum) they got a little bit better. This, thus, is one of their least good. Being this good at their worst is quite the feat."  Reply

"i really dug "cee-lo green is the soul machine". It's the kind of smart, fun, playful rap i hadn't heard since p.m. dawn. Kinda reminded me of de la soul too. i also really dug what dj dangermouse did with jay-z's black album. Some moshes didn't work but when they did, like on "Helter Skelter" it..."  [+]  Reply

"THE BETTER HALF Remember way back when. Back on my first post. When I compared the first half of Donovan’s double LP as being some of the best folk rock EVER released. As good as The Byrd’s Mr. Tamborine Man. As good as Love’s Forever Changes. I meant it. I really did. I LOVE those ten songs with..."  [+]  Reply

"It's pretty rare album art draws me in this deep. I just did a very cursory review of some of my collection, and none of the art hits me like this one. Dare I say, side by side, it makes a lot of album art look like just something that everyone sends with an album because they have to. I like the..."  [+]  Reply
