"I forgot how much I liked this album. There is an underlying groove which makes up for some of the repetitive content. Side A is stronger than side B. Different to Happy Mondays but it was this album that got me to buy their back catalogue. Overall this is my favourite Shaun Ryder album."  Reply

"It should be made absolutely clear that this is bright shiny disco pop tunes, and nothing but it. If that is your kind of thing, this is a GREAT compilation from start to finish. Only a couple of tracks that could have been omitted, and really just Summer Night City mysteriously missing (probably..."  [+]  Reply

"There existed an addiction to blood has fantastic flow and really builds on its atmosphere. The sound design is really interesting particular on the background noise based "Run For Your Life:. Unfortunately what really prevents the album from succeeding is the hollowness of the beats. There comes..."  [+]  Reply

"Much more straight forward pop structures but it still works. Would I Lie to You, There Must Be An Angel (Playing with My Heart), Sisters are Doing it For Themselves are among their best and classic work. The rest of the album brings much to the table as well."  Reply

"Powderfinger's 'Internationalist' is a tale of 2 sides Side A is all but perfect that crackles with energy and fizz with tracks such as "Hindley Street" , "Belter" "Passenger" and "Don't Wanna Be Left Out" Flip the record and it's as if the energy has been sucked out and feel's languid in part's ..."  [+]  Reply

"Bashung's best with "L'Imprudence". An absolutely wonderful collection of melancholy pop, arranged and produced in stylish manner (Bashung had listened to Portishead a lot and hired Utley for guitar works). Set the criteria of what could be expected of the best of pop-rock chanson for the years t..."  [+]  Reply

"Nothing particularly special here, but if you're looking to groove to some old school soul, this is a go to album. Imo some of the tracks felt a little empty, but overall it was decent. 7/10 Fav Tracks: Brown Skin Girl, Shine, Twistin' & Groovin', River"  Reply

"My favorite of the group. So funny and creative, full of youthful joy (they were barely in their 20s) and sophisticated at the same time. Hard to believe it was released during one of the harshest moments of a military dictatorship."  Reply

"Brought me back to hip-hop after I grew tired of the lack of creativity in the late 90s. It's got old-school sampling, great flow, and original beats. Better yet, no cliched lyrics. A triumph of hip-hop that they've been yet to beat."  Reply
