"This may seem unfairly reductive, but Laura Marling is at her best when she conjures peak-era Joni Mitchell. She does that here with just a touch of punk attitude. Interestingly, it looks like this will be her lowest-rated album very soon. It's my favorite."  Reply

"Great album, very honest in its delivery and probably their best album. It is raw and doesn't even try to be refined, even comparing to their debut funnily enough. There were some arrangements and harmonies there and they are almost completely absent here, but this is not a complaint, those diffe..."  [+]  Reply

"A fun album just to grab and listen to. Best tracks: Magic Carpet Ride, Faster Than The Speed of Life, None Of Your Doing and 28. A must-have for Steppenwolf fans. Overall, better than their first."  Reply

"If he would just stick to Blues Rock this would have been an awesome. This album reminds me of Sandinista, way too many different styles. There are some really good songs but some really bad ones too."  Reply

"Incredibly as a big Nick Cave fan since 1988, this is the first time I have listened to it. I was surprised with the music, I was expecting it to just be searing punk but it was a lot more interesting than that. Sounds quite improvisational with all sorts of genres and styles. Cave's vocal perfor..."  [+]  Reply

"love this album, Best song: "Excellent Birds' which was also on Peter Gabriel's album "So". They played on each others version, but her best song IMO is "Ramon" from "Strange Angels", one of the best tracks of all time."  Reply

"Peanut Butter & Banana My Apple Music player has a mind of its own. It thinks it reigns predominant over the music apps on my Apple iBook. So sometimes, when I’m listening to an album on spotify AND also downloading some mp3s in the background, it will just start playing too. And there’s this ble..."  [+]  Reply

"Although some parts of this feel too much like an over-dramatic rock opera, overall this was a breath of fresh air. Picked it up on recommendation from a friend and I was VERY pleasantly surprised. Since I've had to lend it out to a few people, even :)"  Reply
