"I'm usually not one to complain about the sound quality of music but Tommy Johnson deserved so much better. From the first track you can tell that Johnson was a great musician but sadly most of his recordings weren't preserved so well so most are unlistenable. it's a shame. ""Don't Take My Sunshine Away" is a serious contender for the best Mark Linkous composition. There's some other great songs here, like "Some Sweet Day" and "Knives of Summertime," but the rest is not up to Linkous' usual standard. Bit of a different feel from past records, too. Get this one last."  Reply

"Sounds exactly like a Killers record. That's not a criticism; I like The Killers. I just don't get what motivates solo releases that only mess up my album collection organization. (Sorry, Brandon, I am still putting this on the K shelf.) Incidentally, this is like a Springsteen album, if The Boss..."  [+]  Reply

"Not a bad album for Keiths first solo attempt. Better than anything Mick Jagger put out and also better than most Stones albums, but a bit hit and miss with some pretty dodgy 80s production in places. You Don't Move Me, his dig at Jagger, the standout track."  Reply
