Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 68.9/100, a mean average of 68.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 68.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.6.

Interesting to see people think this is one of their best. For me, it's easily my least favourite. It doubles down on the 80s heartland rock sound of Battle Born, but unlike that album, doesn't have the tunes to make up for it. I do appreciate the little bit of experimentation here, such as on the opening title track which has an almost industrial feel to certain parts of it. And there are some good ballads too. But overall, this is their most frustrating LP for me.

A nice comeback after the messy Battle Born. The Killers are back! Their 2nd most concise album after Day and Age.

Favorite tracks
1) Run for Cover
2) Out of my mind
3) The calling

This album has received little attention despite being a comeback by this well-known band. It isn't just a bunch of songs - it has some cohesion and at the same time variety. I am not a Killers fan and I don't find any song memorable but I find it a strong release.

I've been hooked on this album since September and have finally gotten around to shout its virtues . 'Wonderful Wonderful ' is absolutely wonderful .

How good is this album ? Well The Killers completely lost me after 'Sams Town' to the point whereby I believed The Killers were washed up well past their best .Fast forward to 2017 and I recall sitting on a train scanning SPOTIFY New Releases and firing up 'Wonderful Wonderful' thinking this will be a load of garbage and TBH they had me at track 1 'Wonderful Wonderful' . By the time I hopped off the train I'd nearly listened the album twice knowing this was easily one of 2017's best ,and so it proved to be.

People The Killers are back and this is one killer album.

In my top 3 for 2017...........easily

Three listens in, and it's begin to annoy me that no one is commenting on this.

The Killers are back. That's for sure. I may not consider this album a favourite of theirs (it definitely is not in the same class as their first two), but it has some focus and energy and it makes you feel like they still have something to say.

It sounds to me like the production isn't quite as polished as recent releases, which is a positive. It sounds like a good band playing real music! Im a fan of this album!

A great return to form from a generally uneven band. The melodies here are quite nice and the both the guitar and bass parts are given more room to shine than on some of the band's more recent work. While the last few tracks leave something to be desired, the first seven or so really left an impression. This is a smooth, feel good pop rock album with just enough bite to keep Killers fans happy.

Key Tracks: Rut, Run for Cover, Tyson vs. Douglas
