Recorded in 1986 after 'Tim' and 'Let It Be' but before 'Pleased To Meet Me' this represents a very rare excellent live concert by The Replacements ( one with good sound quality and a lucid band any way )
What can I say ? Its The Replacements at the top of their game with all the signature tracks here , even the much maligned "Gary's Got a Boner" . Interesting this concert contains no fewer than 5 cover tunes: a 1 minute "Fox On The Run" (Sweet) , "Black Diamond" (Kiss) , "Baby Strange" (Big Star via Marc Bolan) , "Hitchin a Ride" and a cracking "Nowhere Man" (Beatles)
A special shout out to the guy in the audience who continually shouts out song requests - my favourite was his demand for "September Girls" .. really ?
