Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 69.9/100, a mean average of 69.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 69.7/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.2.

I like when McCartney goes full McCartney. This sounds weirder to my ears than New, with more songs that I feel are really strong. It's a bit too long, but it's really well-produced (thanks, Greg Kurstin!). I Don't Know, Happy With You, Dominoes, Confidante, and Despite Repeated Warnings are my big highlights here, but I don't really hate any of the songs here. Shouldn't have included Fuh You, though. It sticks out like a sore thumb, production-wise, and I don't think the style particularly suits Paul, especially as an older man.
Solid! Favorite Track - "People Want Peace". Rating (80.31)
Not so great than "New", but still works.
Although it's not nearly as great as "New" from '13 it has some catchy decent tunes. Macca continues to have a lot of energy producing some very good music.
It's an okay album
Nice Album.
VelekD. I think McCartney has been showing he's one the best songwriters of all time since the mid-sixties. I certainly wouldn't say he's 'finally' shown it in 2018.
Macca shows finally, he is one of the best songwriter of all time.

The album has certainly improved over repeated listens but it's still not top grade McCartney (even solo McCartney). Still it does at least sound new and fresh. Happy with you, is a nice jaunty little number, very McCartney, I don't know, is a strong track and, Do it now, is lovely and Beach boys/Beatles-esque. The other tracks are fine apart from, Come on to me, which is loud, stupid and extremely annoying, easily the worst track here. Egypt station proves that McCartney still has something new to offer and is a welcome addition to his massive catalogue without being brilliant.
