Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 58.3/100, a mean average of 57.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 57.2/100. The standard deviation for this album is 21.6.

First 3 titles are really good, Lord of the Flies was played live WITH Dickinson for a reason ...
Rest falls a bit off, overall really not their best album but can compete with The Final Frontier ...
Perhaps Blaze wasn't the most ideal replacement but he can't be totally to blame for a these weak albums.
A completely flat and uninspired record. A Maiden album without any passion seems unthinkable, the musicians sound bored and Blaze Bayley is a poor substitute for Bruce Dickinson. There just doesn't seem to be any urgency in any of the performances. It's all completely forgettable and it's extremely disappointing.
It has 4 or 5 great songs (first three are amazing!), one or two ok and the rest is forgettable, but still undeserved criticism
Sign Of The Cross is AMAZING, but the rest of this album is just awful. This album and Virtual XI make me want to throw up.
